Introduction and aims the studies on information behaviour seek to know why people need, and use information, both in their work environment and in their daily life. Studying these aspects in populations whose life situations may be classified as transitional, it is of a special relevance as far as the information systems planned may serve as a support for individuals in that situation. Since its formation in 2005, it has worked to facilitate and support the contributions of psychological organizations to the global understanding of human sexual and gender diversity, to the health and well-being of people around the world who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual or intersex and to the full enjoyment of human rights by people of all sexual orientations.
